Duoza — the game of two choices

1. In short

Duoza is a small game: you are shown two options and you pick one. To play, you do not register, you do not give us a name, and you do not give us an email. The app creates an anonymous player number on first launch, and that number is the only thing that ties a device to a score.

This policy explains what the app does collect, why, and how to get rid of it.

2. Who is responsible

3. What the app collects

Anonymous player number. Generated when you first open the app and stored on the device. It is used to save your stars and to place you in the leaderboard.
Game progress. Stars earned, rounds played, the level reached.
Technical data. Device model, operating-system version, app version, language and country setting, network type, crash and error reports.
Advertising identifier. The resettable Google Advertising ID, used by the advertising partners listed below to select and measure ads.
Install source. The Google Play install referrer string, so we can tell where an installation came from.

4. What the app does not collect

No name, no email address, no phone number, no contacts, no photos, no files, no microphone or camera access, no precise GPS location, and no payment details. The app has no sign-up form and no in-app purchases.

5. Why we process it

To run the game: keep your stars, restore progress after a reinstall, build the leaderboard.
To keep the app working: find crashes, measure loading errors, fix what breaks.
To show advertising, which is how a free game pays for itself.
To understand, in aggregate, which screens people use and where they drop off.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interest for running and fixing the game, and on your consent for personalised advertising. Consent can be withdrawn at any time in the consent dialog shown by the ad SDK, or through your device settings.

6. Services we use

Game progress and the leaderboard are stored on our own backend, which the app reaches through api.duoza-game.com. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone outside this list.

7. Where data is stored and for how long

Servers are located in the European Union. Progress tied to an anonymous player number is kept while the app is installed and for up to 24 months after the last session, then deleted. Analytics and crash data follow the retention periods of the services above. Data may be processed in other countries by those providers under their own safeguards.

8. Children

Duoza is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used the app and left data behind, write to us and we will remove it.

9. Your choices

Reset or delete the advertising ID in Android settings → Google → Ads.
Turn off personalised ads in the same settings screen or in the consent dialog inside the app.
Delete everything by uninstalling the app, which removes the local player number. To also delete the server-side record, email us the player number shown on the leaderboard screen and we will erase it within 30 days.
Ask what we hold about a player number, or ask us to correct it, by email.

The player number is the short code shown next to your avatar on the ranking screen. Include it in your message — without it we cannot find the record, because there is nothing else that identifies you.

10. Security

All traffic between the app and our backend goes over HTTPS. Access to the backend is limited to a single application key. No system is perfect, but we keep the amount of data we hold small on purpose, which is the strongest protection we can offer.

11. Changes to this policy

If the app starts collecting something new, this page is updated and the date at the top changes. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the store listing. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the current version.
